The ALS Ice Bucket challenge has taken off with the help of Social Media. The challenge dares nominated participants to be filmed having a bucket of ice water poured on their heads and challenging others to do the same to promote awareness for ALS. After the Ice Bucket Challenge went viral on social media, public awareness and charitable donations to ALS charities soared. The New York Times reported that the ALS Association had received $41.8 million in donations from July 29 until August 21. More than 739,000 new donors have given money to the association.

In the video above, our National Account Manager, Brandon Tech from our Pensacola office accepted the challenge and called out fellow ServiceMaster colleagues to accept the challenge (Don’t you love his pink floaties!?)
